So zwischendurch

Since I have another week until Jamie arrives, I am making an album for my cousin . I tried the Staz-On Inks since you can use them on overhead foils. I am using it as an extra page in front of the picture of the church. Looks something like this. The papers are all from CM (Crea Motion). The whole album, when finished, will have about 7 pages plus cover and end and I will then bind it with the bind-it-all.

Da ich ja noch eine Woche Zeit habe bis Jamie kommt, mache ich so zwischendurch ein Album für meine Kusine von der Taufe ihres Enkels. Dieses Mal habe ich die Stempelkissen von Staz-On probiert weil man mit diesen auf Folie stempeln kann. Die Folie wird dann als extra Seite über das Foto von der Kirche gelegt und sieht dann etwa so aus. Die Papiere sind von CreaMotion. Das Album wird so ca. 7 Seiten haben und wird mit dem bind-it-all gebunden.

Not a word

Geez, twelve days into the New Year and not a word from me. It's not that I have been too lazy to write, it's more that we were gone :-). Hubby and I took a mini vacation (7 days at a spa). It was just wonderful. We went for walks every day and also enjoyed the hot waters of the pools called "Therme".

Christmas decorations are still up - won't be taken down until the end of January. Again, not that I am too lazy, nope - we're getting company. Jamie and Lenny are flying over next Sunday from CT to visit us for a week. So we're going to celebrate a belated Christmas. More than nice celebrating Christmas twice.

Zwölf Tage schon ins Neue Jahr und noch kein Wort von mir. Nicht dass ich faul gewesen wäre um zu schreiben, wir waren gar nicht da. Mann und ich haben uns 7 Tage in einer Therme gegönnt und das echt genossen. Spazieren gehen und im heissen Wasser entspannen.
Weihnachtsdeko hängt auch noch. Widerum war ich nicht zu faul um aufzuräumen. Alles bleibt wie es ist bis Ende Januar weil Jamie und Lenny uns aus USA besuchen. So feiern wir eine verspätete Weihnachten mit den Beiden. Schön ist es 2x Bescherung zu machen.

We did it again

Not that we don't have enough aquariums - but Christmas Eve our two biggest fish decided that they don't get along. I didn't have the heart to flush one down the toilet, so one hour before all the stores closed for the holidays, the two of us rushed out to the pet shop and bought another fish tank (number four). Oscar is very happy with his new surroundings and Felix remains in his old surroundings since he wasn't the aggresive one.

Als ob wir nicht schon genug Aquarien hätten. Am Heiligen Abend entschieden unsere zwei Pfauenaugebuntbarsche dass sie sich nicht leiden können. Ich habe es nicht übers Herz gebracht, einen die Toilette runterzuspülen. Eine Stunde vor Ladenschluss sind Detlef und ich zum Zooladen und holten uns Aquarium Nummer Vier. Oscar ist nun glücklich in seiner neuen Umgebung und Felix blieb in seiner alten Umgebung da er ja der Brave ist.

3rd Advent

I love this time of the year... all the lights and sounds of the holiday season. The soft glow of the candles, making Christmas cards, strolling through the Christmas Market in town, eating "Lebkuchen" (German spiced cake) and listening to holiday music.

Back from the States, back to scrapping

As soon as we got back from the States, I went to a scrapbooking workshop in town and as soon as I finished the project, I got an infection in my left shoulder and was out of commission for a while. But this weekend I went to a two-day workshop in Ansbach and enjoyed doing all the projects. Ansbach is really pretty and it is almost like scrapping in Fairytale land. We also did 20 Christmas cards and that gave me the incentive to do some more at home which I have been working on all day today.

Kaum zurück aus den Staaten, noch in der Zeitverschiebung bin ich zu einen workshop hier in der Volkshochschule gewesen. Kurz darauf hatte ich eine Kalkverlagerung in der linken Schulter, die sich aufgelöst hatte und unheimlich schmerzhaft war und mich einige Zeit vom scrappen abhielt. Aber dieses Wochenende war ich 2-Tage in Ansbach zu einem Weihnachtsworkshop. Wir haben u.a. auch 20 Weihnachtskarten angefertigt und das hat mich angeregt, nun zu Hause weiter zu machen.

More stretched canvas

I've been so busy lately, but was able to start my stretched canvas wall in the hallway with the first canvas, to be continued when we return from the States. Yes, we'll be travelling to Connecticut next week to visit daughter #2. I am so looking forward to this trip - especially shopping for scrapping until dropping.

In letzter Zeit war ich ziemlich beschäftigt, konnte aber trotzdem meine Keilrahmen Wand im Gang anfangen. Der erste Keilrahmen hängt schon, wird weiter gemacht wenn wir aus USA zurück kommen. Wir fliegen nächste Woche nach New York und dann weiter nach Connecticut um Tochter Nummer 2 zu besuchen. Ich freue mich schon auf diese Reise, besonders aufs Einkaufen...... :-).
