Ich habe dich gefunden (I found you)

nach so langer Zeit.  Wir waren Freundinnen als wir noch sehr jung waren.  Ich kann mich noch erinnern wie traurig ich war als du weggezogen bist in den Fünfziger Jahren.  Ich habe dich die ganze Zeit nie vergessen und mich oft gewundert wie es dir geht.  Dann sind wir selbst weggezogen aus unserer Nachbarschaft in der wir jeden Tag gespielt haben.  Bis 1998 habe ich in den USA gelebt und danach nochmal für 15 Jahre in Würzburg.  Als wir vor 2 Jahren nach Niederbayern zogen, fiel mir beim Sortieren der Fotos unser altes Bild in die Hand.  Unsere kleine Gruppe die so oft zusammen war.  Da machte ich mich auf die Suche nach dir im facebook.  Dein Mädchenname ist ja nicht so geläufig und ich hatte Hoffnung dich damit zu finden.  Aber es kamen nur Jungens mit diesen Namen hoch.  Und du hattest einen Bruder.  Also gab ich dann noch deinen Namen in seiner Freundschaftsliste ein und eine Karin Mayr erschien.  Ich war mir aber nicht sicher ob du das bist.  So forschte ich weiter in Google.  Ich fand Fotos bei Sabika Jewelry  und verglich diese mit dem Foto aus unserer Kindheit. 

Mein Mann war sich auch fast sicher, dass du das bist.  So schickte ich unser Kinderbild an eine Miriam Mayr in Facebook.  Ich bekam fast sofort eine Antwort dass "du" ihre Mutter bist.  Ich hatte dich gefunden.  Was für ein tolles Gefühl.  Inzwischen haben wir schon öfters am Telefon gesprochen und gestaunt wie parallel unser Leben verlaufen ist.  Denn auch du wohnst in den USA.  Die ganzen Jahre so nah und wir wussten es nicht.  For 1 1/2 Jahren warst du in Schärding, Österreich, nur 15 Minuten von uns hier entfernt, und wieder hatten wir beide keine Ahnung wie nahe wir uns schon wieder einmal waren.  Aber jetzt werden wir uns bald treffen...  ich kann es kaum erwarten..... nächsten Monat "herzklopf".   Ich freue mich so darauf.

Gestern habe ich ein doppel layout gemacht, aber nur eine Seite ist fertig.  In das blaue Kuvert habe ich unsere Geschichte getan.  Die zweite Seite muss warten bis wir ein Foto von unserem Treffen haben.  Und das werde ich euch dann zeigen.

We were friends when we were little.  I still remember how sad I was when you moved away in the 50's.  I never forgot you over the years and wondered often how you were doing.  Then we also moved away from our neighborhood where we had always played as children.  I lived in the United States until 1998 and after that another 15 years in Würzburg.  When we moved to the lower part of Bavaria, I started sorting my photos and discovered the one where we little.  So I decided to search for you in Facebook.  Since your maiden name is not such a common name, I typed it in.  But only a few men came up with that name.  But I knew that you have a brother and so I just entered "Karin" in the friendship list.  And I found a Karin Mayr.  But I wasn't sure if that was you and so I went on to google and your name came up associated with Sabika Jewelry and also some photos. 
I took your childhood photo and compared it with the pictures from Sabika.  My husband Detlef and I came to the conclusion that this could be you.  I had also found a Miriam Mayr in the friendship list and mailed her our photo.  It didn't take long and I got an answer from her that the girl in the picture is her mother.  I had found you.  What a great feeling that was.  We have already talked on the phone and found out that our lives were so parallel at times.  You live in the USA and all those years we were so close to each other without knowing it.  About 1 1/2 years ago you were in Schärding, Austria - only 15 minutes away from us and again we had no idea how close we were to each other.
But now we will finally meet again in Person..... next month.  I can hardly wait.
