Catching Up......

Ich bin wieder da.  Nicht dass ich zu faul zum bloggen war, nein wir hatten Besuch und das einen ganzen Monat lang, danach gab es viel zu tun, dann war/ist es viel zu heiß für mich zum bloggen, aber so nach und nach komme ich wieder in die Gänge.  Und heute habe ich zum ersten Mal seit langer Zeit auch wieder gescrappt und ein layout gemacht.  Es ist natürlich von Millie, aufgenommen auf dem Flug von Thailand hierher.  Das arme Mäuschen war wieder so "Flugkrank" und eine nette Flugbegleiterin hatte sich Millie angenommen und im großen Airbus A380 in das obere Stockwerk gebracht um sie abzulenken.  Obwohl sie auf dem Foto sehr blass ist, finde ich es wunderschön und musste unbedingt ein 12 x 12 layout davon machen.

I am back.  It's not that I was too lazy to do any postings, but we had visitors here from June to July.  After that I had some things to catch up and it has also been way too hot for me to sit in front of the Computer and blog.  Actually it is still hot here, we are having a heat wave in the South.  But today I finally scrapped again and made a layout of Millie.  The photo was taken on the flight from Thailand to Munich.  Our poor babe was so air sick again, but a real nice flight attendant took Millie to the top floor of the huge Airbus A380 to distract her from her illness.   Even though she looks pale in the pic, I love it and couldn't resist making this layout.

In den kommenden Wochen werde ich dann mehr vom Besuch der "Kinder" berichten.  Wir haben so einiges unternommen, mussten aber auch wegen der Hitze einiges vom Plan streichen.  Die erste Woche hier war es ziemlich kühl für unsere "Thailänder", sie sind ja die Hitze gewohnt, aber dann stöhnten sie auch. In den ersten Tagen ließen wir es sowieso langsam angehen und hier sind die Fotos von unserem Ausflug zur Bad Füssinger Hecke.

In the coming weeks, I will show you more pics of the visit of "our children".  We were busy most days and due to the heat during the last week of their stay, we had to cross of some things on our list.  We started slow the first week and began with a visit to the Restaurant "Die Hecke" in Bad Füssing.  Here are those pics.

Und sie mochte shoppen... besonders mit Opa um Papa Juice zu holen.

And she loved shopping... especially with Opa to go and get papa juice.

A mini of our day trip to the Attersee in Austria

Yikes, May is almost over and I have only one blog entry so far.  Time to catch up.  I just finished a 6 x 6 inch mini of our visit to the Attersee.  It was my 65th birthday and we decided to spent the day over in Austria.

Der Mai ist schon fast wieder vorbei und ich habe nur einmal in diesem Monat gebloggt.  Das will ich schnell mal ändern und euch mein 6 x 6 inch Mini vom Attersee zeigen.  Wir hatten uns entschlossen, an meinem 65. Geburtstag einen Tagestrip rüber nach Österreich zu machen.

It was a cloudy day, which was just fine with me because I can't walk around in the sun too long.  For lunch we found a small Italian Restaurant, their Pizza was absolutely delicious.  While most people here eat their Pizza with a fork and knife, I dug in in my normal American way "with my hand".

Es war ein bewölkter Tag was in Ordnung für mich war, da ich sowieso nie lange in der Sonne herum laufen kann.  Im Ort Attersee fanden wir ein kleines italienisches Restaurant die köstlichen Pizza anzubieten hatten. 

 We spent the rest of the afternoon walking around.

Den Rest des Nachmittags verbrachten wir am See.

A little bit further up there were lots of swans.

Weiter oben waren eine Menge Schwäne.

 We made a stop in Seewalchen and walked around there also.

 Der nächste Ort hieß Seewalchen und es gab da auch einiges zu sehen.

 All in all it was a really nice birthday.

Es war ein wunderschöner Geburtstag.



Nun kann ich wieder bloggen

denn 8 lange Tage ging bei uns rein gar nichts, kein Internet, aber auch kein Telefon da wir den Provider wechselten und dies sich als "kompliziert" entwickelte.  Und nun kann ich endlich wieder zeigen was sich bei mir auf der kreativen Ebene so alles getan hat.  Für dieses Projekt habe ich das Designerpapier "Erstausgabe" von SU benutzt, in Streifen geschnitten und zusammen "gewebt".

Now that we are finally back on line and also have telephone again,  I can go back to blogging and show my latest creations.  For this project I used the Designer Series Papers from Stampin Up "Typeset Specialty".  I cut the paper into strips and wove them together.

 

Danach habe ich das ganze auf einen schwarzen cardstock geklebt.  Mod Podge ist echt toll dafür da das Papier nicht wellig wird.

After that I glued the woven strips of paper unto a black cardstock.  Mod Podge works great for this, the paper doesn't curl at all. 

Die ausgestanzten Blütenblätter habe ich mit PanPastels eingefärbt und auf dem Shaping & Molding Pad geformt.

I used PanPastels on the die cut leaves and shaped them on the Sizzix Molding Pad.

Das sind die Stanzformen die ich benutzt habe.

Dann noch in einen Ikea Rahmen und fertig ist mein Bild.

Framed the whole thing in an Ikea Frame and finished is my picture.



I kissed a frog

Am Ostersonntag sind wir im Kurwäldchen spazieren gegangen.  Und im Kurpark habe ich dann einen Frosch geküsst.  Mein "Prinz" hat mich dabei fotografiert.

On Easter Sunday we took a walk through the Park in Bad Füssing, the town next to ours.  There I kissed a frog and my "prince" took a photo of me.

Unterwegs haben wir noch etliche Fotos gemacht.

 While walking, we took some more photos.





Oh oh, ein umgestürzter Baum blockierte den Weg.

"simply created"

heißt das das Set von Stampin' Up.  Und das habe ich nun gefüllt mit "alten" Fotos genau wie ich es vorgehabt hatte.  Erst mal meine älteren Fotos "endlich" verarbeiten und ab und zu mal zwischendurch neuere Bilder.  Für dieses "Deine Welt" Mini Album habe ich Fotos von Millie benutzt die wir von ihr 2008 machten als wir alle zusammen in Krün bei Mittenwald Urlaub gemacht haben.  Die Fotos sind in Hüllen die 4 x 4 inches gross sind, also auch perfekt für Instagram Fotos.

"Simply Created" is a set from Stampin' Up.  I had ordered this "so you" because it was perfect for the photos that we had taken of Millie in 2008 when we all vacationed together in Southern Bavaria in a village called Krün, not far away from Mittenwald and Garmisch.  I am in the process of using older photos to put in Albums and these Pictures were perfect with this set.  Enjoy looking at the pages, each page protector is 4" x 4" which are also perfect for Instagram pics.

Heute ist draußen ein trüber Tag

und somit für mich gut ohne schlechtes Gewissen diesen Tag im Scrapeck zu verbringen.  Schlapperlook und Papierschnitzel, so fühle ich mich wohl.  Und so ist mal wieder ein layout entstanden, dieses Mal von meiner Tochter Jamie und Schwiegersohn Lenny.

Today is a dreary day, a good day to spend in my creative corner without feeling guilty.   Got my sweats on, papers around me and feeling good.   Therefore, I can show another layout I made.  This one is of my daughter Jamie and son-in-law Lenny.

waren bei mir mal wieder zeitmäßig drinnen, obwohl ich die letzten paar Tage das Wetter draußen auf der Terrasse genossen habe und zwar im Liegestuhl was meinem lädierten Rücken gut tat.
