ATC und grüne Pfoten

Inzwischen habe ich wieder einige Bestellungen erhalten, habe aber jetzt mal aus ein paar Resten wieder eine ATC Karte angefertigt, damit mein Gypsy Rahmen sich endlich mal langsam füllt.  Wenn er voll ist, dann fotografiere ich den ganzen Rahmen.

I got some more orders to make some albums, but because it was so hot, I couldn't start working on them, so I made an ATC card to start filling the ATC frame that I have.  Once I have all the cards in it, I will take a pic of the whole thing.

Und vorgestern hatte Daisy grüne Pfoten.  Wir waren Gassi nachdem draussen das Gras gemäht wurde.  Beim fotografieren drehte sie jedes Mal den Kopf zur Seite.  Vielleicht hat sie sich geschämt dass sie grüne Füsse hat, sie ist manchmal sie richtig Mädchen und eitel.  Ich fand aber dass sie süß damit aussah.

The day before yesterday, Daisy had green paws.  We had gone for a walk through the freshly mowed grass and it colored her feet.  When I tried taking her pic, she constantly turned her head to the side as if she was ashamed of being in the Photo.  Sometimes she is so girlie and conceited.  But I though she looked so cute with the green booties.

Ein kleines Paradies

liegt hinter unserem Haus.  Ein kleiner See, Bänke zum Verweilen, ein herrlicher Spielplatz für Kinder und..... Obstbäume, eine wahre Pracht an Früchten wird uns geboten. 

Behind our house there is a park that seems like being in Paradise.  A little lake, benches to sit on, a beautiful playground for children and fruit trees, with lots of pickings this year.

Und bei den Pflaumen habe ich gestern mal so richtig zugegriffen und gepflückt.  Heute habe ich daraus einen Kuchen gemacht.

Yesterday I went outside and picked some of the plums and made a cake today.

Die Küche war durch die Hitze eh schon so warm, dass es keinen Unterschied mehr machte, auch noch den Ofen anzuschalten.

The kitchen was hot anyways from the heat outside, so it didn't make a big difference that I put on the oven.

Dann habe ich noch einige Pflaumen mit Rum überschüttet und die sind nun im Kühlschrank und werden morgen vertilgt. 

On some of the left-over plums I poured rum and am letting it soak in the fridge.  That'll be another delicious dessert tomorrow.

Vom Kuchen fehlen übrigens schon einige Stücke.

And by-the-way, there are already pieces missing from the cake.  Yummy!

Wo wächst du nur hin

Im Mai hatte ich mir in einem Discounter ein Päckchen "Wildblumen" Saat mitgenommen.  Nur so aus Neugierde ob diese Samen auch wachsen.  Erst in kleinen Töpfchen im Zuchthaus, und nur eine einzige zeigte sich mit einem grünen Spross.  Diese hab ich dann in unseren Garten und sie wuchs und wuchs und wuchs. 

In May I bought a packet of flower seeds.  I just wanted to see if I could grow my own.  I put the little seeds in small pots in our green house and only one showed a sprout.  So I planted that one in our garden and it grew and grew like the beanstalk from "Jack and the beanstalk".  We just wondered all the time what would happen.

Vorgestern zeigte sich eeeendlich die Blüte.  Sie wollte wohl hoch hinaus.

Finally, the day before yesterday, it bloomed all the way on top.  I guess it wanted to be closer to the sun.

Blätter

fallen noch nicht von den Bäumen, es ist noch Sommer, und ein unheimlich heißer Tag dazu.  Zu heiß um das Scrap Papier lange anzulangen, es wellt sich unter meinen feuchten Fingern, grrr.  So was macht man dann, man näht Blätter.  Aus Filz ausschneiden und auf CS nähen.

Leaves aren't falling from the trees yet, it's still summer, and what a hot day it is, extremly hot.  The paper is starting to curl under my fingers, so I decided to make leaves out of felt instead.... for a rainy day :-).  I cut the felt into leave shapes and placed them on cardstock.

I immediatly had to try a set on a card.

Pretty in Pink

Ich habe mich wieder ins Scrapzimmer geflüchtet.  Draußen ist es zuuuuuu heiß.  Ich war zwar eine halbe Stunde im Garten unter dem Schirm und habe mein lunch vertilgt.  Länger habe ich es nicht ausgehalten, auch nicht im Schatten.  Es weht kein Lüftchen und hier im Zimmer ist es kühler mit dem Venti an.  Also, was macht Frau bei so einem Wetter - sie scrappt.

I am hiding in my Scrap room.  It is absolutely too hot to be outside.  I ate my lunch in the yard, but even under the umbrella it felt stifling, so I went back inside to do some creations. 

Mein Mann hat gescrappt

wenn auch digital, aber es ist immerhin sein allererstes 12" x 12" layout und es passt in den  30 x 30 cm Rahmen welche man beim Hornbach bekommt.  Ich bin echt stolz auf den neuen Scrapper in unserer Familie :-).  Ich hab das Foto nicht so scharf hinbekommen wegen dem Glas vorne auf dem layout.

Detlef is turning into a Scrapper, a digi Scrapper.  This is his first 12 x 12 layout which he made today.  And we can finally get frames for those in Germany.  Pic is a little blurry cuz of the glass on top of the layout.

2 cuties

sind die beiden Söhne von der Tochter meiner Cousine.  Und von ihnen habe ich ein layout gemacht.

Made a layout of Elias and Silas.  Those two cuties belong to a relative of mine.
