12 x 12
I haven't done any 12 x 12 layouts in a long time. But ever since I have these beautiful photos of Millie, I've been itching to make some layouts of them. I was there when the photos were taken and she was such a "ham". I ordered the brick stamp from the States since I couldn't get it anywhere in Germany. The fence and the outside light I cut with the Cricut. I also used Glimmer Mist in the background and on some of the flowers. I really enjoyed making this 12 by 12 on a canvas and I think I'll be making some more in the near future.

Heute
A little package arrived today in the mail for Oma and Opa (that is us, the happy grandparents :-) from little Millie. Since Detlef and I don't exchange any Christmas presents (we always buy what we need throughout the year), this was the only gift that we received this holiday and it made us so happy. I immediately tried the Gingerbread hand cream, it made my hands so soft .... until Daisy licked part of it off, to her it was a yummy and delicious odor which meant that it might be something to eat.

Also some more cards came in the mail today and I hung them to the others on the lower stair case. Decorations in Germany stay up a little longer than they do in the States.

8 x 8 Album
Yesterday I had a late start into the day. A migraine kept me in bed until noon. But in the afternoon I was able to work on my mini album "Snoqualmie/Seattle". And today I am back in my room continuing creating more pages. Even though I cleaned my car off this morning, it is still pretty much buried in the snow and iced all over. A good excuse to stay in my scrap room and be creative. Hubby returned to work today and we're back to normal life again. Thank goodness to Daisy, I do get to go out and enjoy the wintery weather. It is still so pretty out there.

Skype
is great when your children live far away from you. While waiting for Millie to wake up and to watch her open her presents, I stayed in my room and altered my Christmas organizer and put the first pic in there. It won't be like a Christmas daily, but rather a "fall into winter" type of album with pictures starting in the fall and taking us through this winter season. That way I can work on it randomly. I also started making the pages of the "Seattle trip" album, since I was a little tired of doing Christmas layouts. Then Melanie called on Skype and we watched Millie being a very happy child. Now I am happy and Detlef and I are going downstairs to watch a DVD. Merry Christmas.

It's the 1st. Christmas Holiday here in Germany. It snowed all day yesterday and throughout the night. This was my first view looking out of the bedroom window this morning.

Daisy loves frolicking in the snow. She's a real snow hound now and can't get enough of the white stuff.
This is behind our house, it looks so very pretty.
