Two in one

Last night I finished my "Two in One" card. My sister-in-law has her birthday just before Easter this year, so I made a birthday card which has Happy Easter greetings on the inside.

Gestern Abend habe ich meine "Zwei in Einem" Karte fertig gemacht. Meine Schwägerin hat ihren Geburtstag kurz vor Ostern, so machte ich diese Geburtstagskarte die Ostergrüße innen hat.

2 Scrapping Weekends in a Row

Two weekends of Scrapbooking Workshop can send me into 7th heaven, but a severe headache afterwards prevented me from posting. Now I am back in the world of the living and am continuing on the projects I started and also doing some Easter cards.

Two Saturdays ago, my friend Christa and I drove to Ansbach to do a mini-album. It was Christa's first workshop and she enjoyed it just as much as I do. Scrapbooking is an addiction that you can pass on to some other people.

Last weekend was the Scrapbooking "Landpartie" in Gadheim near Würzburg. Two days filled with workshops, fun and lots of new ideas. I enjoyed it a lot and Ramona was really a great teacher. It was also really nice to finally get to know Amy from the Scrapbookshop. Besides that, I was able to buy some more goodies and it always feels so great afterwards to unpack my new stuff and sort it into my scrapbooking corner at home. And to top off a perfect weekend, I won the Princess Bride Set from Rusty Pickle.

Zwei Wochenende mit Scrapbook workshops haben mich in den 7.ten Himmel geschickt, aber die schlimmen Kopfschmerzen danach hielten mich ab hier zu posten. Aber nun, da ich wieder unter den "Lebenden" weile, arbeite ich an den angefangenen Projekten weiter und mache nebenbei auch noch ein paar Osterkarten.

Vor 2 Wochen war ich mit meiner Freundin Christa in Ansbach um ein Mini-Album anzufertigen. Es war Christa's erster workshop und sie hat es genauso genossen wie ich. Scrapbooking ist eine Sucht die man an einige Leute weitergeben kann.

Dieses Wochenende war die Landpartie Scrapbooking in Gadheim. Zwei Tage voller workshops und neue Ideen erlernen. Auch dieses hat so viel Spass gemacht. Ramona war eine prima "Lehrerin" und ich habe mich gefreut Amy vom Scrapbookshop kennen zu lernen. Ausserdem gab es wieder einige "goodies" zu kaufen und wie immer hat es mir Spass gemacht, hinterher meine Beute auszupacken. Ausserdem habe ich das Set "Princess Bride" von Rusty Pickle gewonnen.

Lunchbox

Scrapcorner is finished, all supplies stashed away neatly and I redecorated my lunchbox. Took off all the Christmas papers and added these Colorbök Scrap Pack Papers "Neutral". Flower is from Prima Marketing, the Company that has their flowers in such pretty boxes. The ribbon from K1 Memories I got at Joann's at my last visit to the States.

Mein Basteleck ist eingerichted, alle Scrapbooking Sachen ordentlich eingeräumt und ich habe meine lunchbox neu dekoriert. Alle Weihnachtspapiere abgerissen und neue Colorbök Papiere vom Scrap Pack Neutral darauf geklebt. Die Blume ist von Prima Marketing, diese Firma hat ihre Dekoration in herrlichen Dosen. Die Bänder sind von K1 Memories, gekauft habe ich diese in Joann's bei meinem letzten Besuch in USA.

Our Hobbies

There aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things that I want to do. Too many hobbies, too little time. My favorite one is still scrapbooking and recently we rearranged part of the living room so that I have my own corner. And by doing that, part of the a new available space was confiscated by my husband and now we have fish tank number five standing here. This one is really interesting, see pics.....

Für mich hat der Tag nicht genug Stunden um alles zu machen was ich liebe. Zu viele Hobbies, zu wenig Zeit. Mein Favorit ist immer noch Scrapbooking und wir änderten neulich wieder einen Teil im Wohnzimmer damit ich nun ein eigenes Eck nur fürs das Basteln habe. Und dadurch wurde ein Platz frei der gleich von meinem Mann beschlagnahmt wurde. Durch dieses freie Eck haben wir nun Aquarium Nummer Fünf. Aber das ist ein sehr ganz interessantes, siehe Fotos....

Finished it - hab's geschafft

Well, I did it! Finished the album just in time. That bind-it-all from Zutter is great. Now I am in the mood to create another album. But first I am going to enjoy Jamie and Lenny's visit. Got some things planned already, like a tour through our "Residenz" in town. The artwork on the ceilings inside is incredible. The highlights of the interior decoration were created by the Venetian Giovanni Battista Tiepolo with his ceiling frescos in the Imperial Hall and above the staircase, completed from 1751 to 1753. I enjoy it every time I take visitors there. ------------------------------------------------------- Sodala, das Album ist fertig geworden. Die "bind-it-all" Maschine von Zutter ist einfach Klasse. Gibt mir Lust bald noch mehr Alben zu machen. Aber zuerst werde ich nun Jamie's und Lenny's Besuch bei uns geniessen. Einiges ist schon geplant, u.a. unsere Residenz hier in der Stadt.

So zwischendurch

Since I have another week until Jamie arrives, I am making an album for my cousin . I tried the Staz-On Inks since you can use them on overhead foils. I am using it as an extra page in front of the picture of the church. Looks something like this. The papers are all from CM (Crea Motion). The whole album, when finished, will have about 7 pages plus cover and end and I will then bind it with the bind-it-all.

Da ich ja noch eine Woche Zeit habe bis Jamie kommt, mache ich so zwischendurch ein Album für meine Kusine von der Taufe ihres Enkels. Dieses Mal habe ich die Stempelkissen von Staz-On probiert weil man mit diesen auf Folie stempeln kann. Die Folie wird dann als extra Seite über das Foto von der Kirche gelegt und sieht dann etwa so aus. Die Papiere sind von CreaMotion. Das Album wird so ca. 7 Seiten haben und wird mit dem bind-it-all gebunden.

Not a word

Geez, twelve days into the New Year and not a word from me. It's not that I have been too lazy to write, it's more that we were gone :-). Hubby and I took a mini vacation (7 days at a spa). It was just wonderful. We went for walks every day and also enjoyed the hot waters of the pools called "Therme".

Christmas decorations are still up - won't be taken down until the end of January. Again, not that I am too lazy, nope - we're getting company. Jamie and Lenny are flying over next Sunday from CT to visit us for a week. So we're going to celebrate a belated Christmas. More than nice celebrating Christmas twice.

Zwölf Tage schon ins Neue Jahr und noch kein Wort von mir. Nicht dass ich faul gewesen wäre um zu schreiben, wir waren gar nicht da. Mann und ich haben uns 7 Tage in einer Therme gegönnt und das echt genossen. Spazieren gehen und im heissen Wasser entspannen.
Weihnachtsdeko hängt auch noch. Widerum war ich nicht zu faul um aufzuräumen. Alles bleibt wie es ist bis Ende Januar weil Jamie und Lenny uns aus USA besuchen. So feiern wir eine verspätete Weihnachten mit den Beiden. Schön ist es 2x Bescherung zu machen.
